The counterfeit industry has exploded in recent years, the huge expansion of e-commerce has given rise to a new generation of sophisticated and at times hard to detect counterfeits. This problem affects everyone from multinationals to medium size business. Both national and supranational governments, like the EU, have struggled to contain this problem. The responsibility is now, more than ever, on businesses themselves to prevent counterfeiting of their products. Business leaders now need a good level of knowledge around the topic if they are to combat counterfeiting effectively.
