After witnessing a spike of infringing online listings, it quickly became apparent to Purple's General Counsel that the traditional approach to detection and removal wouldn't cut it. The sheer number of counterfeiters required a holistic approach that would both deter counterfeiters from stealing their trademarks, and copyright whilst preventing the "whack-a-mole effect."
