Why is Mainland China considered high-risk for brand protection and counterfeit activity?

How are domestic Chinese marketplaces different from global e-commerce platforms?

Domestic Chinese marketplaces combine ecommerce, messaging transactions, influencer-driven live streaming, and embedded social media commerce within the same ecosystem.

Listings frequently rely on image-based branding, embedded text, altered trademarks, or coded product descriptions, making traditional keyword-based counterfeit monitoring insufficient.
