07/08/19

8th August 2019 Today, Red Points’ CEO Laura Urquizu has been named as one of the top 50 SaaS CEOs of 2019 by The SaaS Report. Barcelona-based Red Points has developed a unique all-in-one SaaS solution for detecting and enforcing online IP infringements, including online counterfeiting, piracy and distribution fraud.

The annual list ranks top-performing software as a service (SaaS) CEOs based on nomination submissions from colleagues, peers and other software industry participants.  The CEOs were selected based on five primary factors – company growth, work culture, product technology, financial performance, and professional experience.

Laura Urquizu joined the company in 2014 as CEO and Partner. She has led Red Points’ successful transformation to the current SaaS business model. Under her leadership, the company has exponentially increased its sales, in addition to raising several rounds of investments with some of the most prestigious capital funds in the world, such as Mangrove, Northzone, Eight Roads or Summit Partners. In addition to this nomination, Urquizu was named among the “50 most influential women entrepreneurs and investors in the European technology industry”, by EU-Startups in 2018.

Commenting on the nomination, Red Points’ CEO Laura Urquizu said: “I am immensely proud and honored to have been recognized as one of the top 50 SaaS CEOs of 2019. This nomination is a true testament to the dedication and teamwork of all Red Pointers and their contribution to achieving our mission—to protect brands online against counterfeiting, piracy and distribution fraud.”

“The most highly regarded CEOs had a high volume of nominations showing consistency to primary characteristics comprising the individual’s effective leadership style.  And in many cases, we were impressed with the outpouring of support, respect and admiration for these leaders. It became clear that to build a high performing organization supported by a constructive and enduring culture, the CEO needed to possess a unique set of rare skills.” said J.Carlos, Editor at The SaaS Report.
